There are presidential elections in Sri Lanka Tuesday, and the main candidates are sitting President Mahinda Rajapakse and the former Chief of Army Staff Sarath Fonseka, who is supported by the opposition.
A representative of Fonseka’s election campaign management claims that Alles has recently received several death threats.
The threats came after Fonseka people published a picture of President Rajapakse’s son Namal with a leader of the Tamil separatist LTTE. The two should have been photographed at a nightclub in London.
